トキワアートギャラリーで開催中の「クリスマスの森のマルシェ」にアーティストリースで参加させて頂いています。
3月にあった震災から想う、さまざまなこと。
大きな出来事によりあらためて気付かされる家族や友達の大切さ、感謝の想い。
そんなメッセージを込めたあたたかい手作りのクリスマス展。

リースのタイトルは「Beautiful World」。今回、シルクスクリーンでの制作です。
生成りの布にlove, hope, happiness, wish, dream.. などのコトバをちりばめて葉っぱを作り
ふんわり大きなひとつの輪にしました。
こういったものに満ちあふれる美しい世界が、一日もはやく被災地へもどって来ることを願って。

I'm joining the Christmas exhibition which is presently being held at TAG.
This exhibition is also a warm message to thank family, friends, and to heal our hearts hurt by the earthquake in March.

I made an artist wreath, the title is 'Beautiful World'.
It's made of cotton leaves with words like love, hope, happiness, wish, dream... screen printed on them.
Wishing for the world full of those coming back to Tohoku again soon.

もう１１月も半ばですね。時間が経つのってほんとうに早いです。

トキワアートギャラリーで開催されるクリスマス展のフライヤーのイラストを描かせていただきました。

今年、わたしたちは東日本大震災を受け、いろいろなことを深く考える、特別な年となりました。

今年のクリスマスは、家族や友達に感謝する、心あたたまるものにしたい。

それには単なる派手なツリーよりも、ひとつひとつが手づくりの心のこもったツリーがふさわしいのではないでしょうか。

テーマは世界にひとつだけのこころあたたまるクリスマス。地元の作家さんたちに制作依頼し

クリスマスツリーの装飾や、オリジナルクリスマスリースを展示いたします。

わたしもアーティストオリジナルリースで参加させていただきます。

東北のグランマがつくるオーナメントもツリーの装飾として展示、販売されます。

みなさん、是非心がほっとあたたまるクリスマス展にお越し下さい。

クリスマスマルシェも設置して、作家によるクリスマスギフトの販売もありますよ！

Trans pacific art collaboration!

展覧会のお知らせです。
なんと今回、アメリカで展示させていただくことになりました。

場所はサンフランシスコ、フレモント。
偶然、現地でいろいろ活動されているキミ・コバシさんのブログを拝見し
交換展をやりませんか、とお声かけしたところ、快くお受けしてくださったのです。
こちらも、まわりのアーティストにこえをかけ、５名の作家があつまりました。
ikecoo（お絵描き）、santacc（ペンアーティスト）、あきやましんご（平面作家）、永島香苗（画家）、そしてわたしyuuco（イラストレーター）です！
さっそくキミのブログで紹介してくれました！こちら→art journal

みんな海外で発表するのははじめてで、わくわくしています。
１２月の２、３日にフレモントにある現地の陶芸家の方のご自宅兼アトリエで年二回行われている
陶芸フェアにコラボ展として展示されます。
そのあとも、1ヶ月ほど現地のギャラリーもしくはカフェで展示してくださる予定です。

そして来年1月には交換展としてサンフランシスコの作家さんの作品を日本、香川で展示します。
場所は高松市にある、Box Gallery Make Merry! 小さなボックスに手作りのアートやクラフトを展示、販売できるお店です。
参加作家でもあるオーナーのsantaccさんは、街のイベントやワークショップも手がけていて
お店はいつも若いアーティストたちでいっぱいなのです。素敵なたまり場。＾＾
せっかくなので、ほかにも展示できる場所を今、探しています。

今回、とんとん拍子に事がすすみ、忙しい中、快く協力してくださったキミをはじめ、みなさんに本当に感謝です。

YELL 02

２３日からトキワアートギャラリーで開催されるYELL ０２に参加します。
YELL展は東日本大震災の復興支援企画展として００から始まり、今回第３弾。
今回、お声掛けいただき参加させていただくことになりました。
わたしに出来ることで、なにかお役にたてればうれしいです。

I join the group show YELL02 which is held in TOKIWA ART GALLERY from 23rd.
YELL begun as an exhibition to support for reconstruction from the Great East Japan Earthquake. This YELL02 is 3rd one since it's started as YELL00.
It's my pleasure to be able to join this project as an artist and to be a part of this great YELL to Tohoku.

震災直後、「 art 」はこんな時無力なのだろうか？という事から始まり、個人の限界を迎えた時に香川の作家が集まり支援金寄付を目的とする展示即売会「YELL展（00）」を開催しました。

現在、震災から9ヶ月が経過しましたが、復興への道のりはまだ遠く、物や人や時間や資金などあらゆるものが必要とされています。

これからも「 art 」を通じてできる支援を模索し、継続していきたいと思います。

今回は高松市常磐町商店街にある[ TOKIWA ART GALLERY ]、善通寺にある[ GALLERY WHAT’S NEW?]の二つの会場にて作品の展示販売を開催致します。

Just after the earthquake a thought came to my mind 'Is there anything we, artists, can do?'. This exhibition begun as a group show of artists from Kagawa to support for reconstruction from the Great East Japan earthquake when we knew the limit of support just 'one' can do.
Although 9 months have past since 11.3 the road to our goal is still very long and various of things, manpower, time, funds are still needed in the disaster area.
We're going to keep looking for the way to assist them through arts and continue to support them from now on as well.

高松トキワ街のTAG [トキワアートギャラリー] での展示の参加作家は15名、善通寺のギャラリーワッツニューの参加作家は12名と、香川在住または縁のある作家達が多数参加します。
作品やアーティストグッズなどを販売し、必要経費を除く、売上げ金全額を下記の2カ所へ寄付させていただきます。

被災地の子どもたちが本を読めるよう、新しい図書を地元の書店で購入し被災した学校図書館に寄贈するために使わせていただきます。

福島県の、震災で親を失った子供たちの長期的な支援の為に使わせていただきます。

15 artists join the exhibition at TAG, and 12 will be at Gallery What's New, Zentsuji. Lots of artists who are living in or related Kagawa join this exhibition. Artworks and artists' goods are on sale and all sales less expenses will be donated to the organizations below.

Donation will be used to buy new books from local bookstores and the books will be sent to school libraries in affected area.

[Great East Japan earthquake Donation for Fukushima Children]
Donation will be used for long-term support for the children who lost their parents by the earthquake.

手を描きました。好きなモチーフのひとつです。

手のカタチは美しくて、いろんな人の手を見入ってしまいます。

爪のかたち、長い指、短い指、物をさわるときのふとした仕草

その人自身があらわれているような気がします。

I draw hands. Hands are one of my favourite motifs.
I love the shape of hands and can't take eyes off of
those of my family, friends and people I see because it's so beautiful for me.
The shape of nails, movement of fingers, simple gestures when they touch things
those really tell me what they are like and does reflect the ones themselves.

イギリスから小包が届きました。滞在中とてもお世話になったひとからでした。

中にはあったかい手紙と、わたしが大好きだったお菓子がいっぱい詰まっていました。

Today I just received a parcel which was full of wonderful things from the uk.

Actually it was from my bf and the box was full of sweets I loved when I was there.

いろいろ楽しかったことを思い出して、思わずじーんとしてしまいました。

遠くても、心配してくれていたり、自分のことを思ってくれているってうれしい。ほんとうに感謝です。
インターネットやメールのおかげで連絡も取りやすいけど、時間をかけないと届かない物や、手書きの手紙は心にずっと余韻が残ります。

It reminded me of my days there when I read a letter full of sweet words from him and felt a bit sad because of the long distance between Japan and uk. I really appreciate and I'm so happy to have someone who is considering me even if we are far apart. Thanks to the advance of technology we can chat anytime seeing face each other through the internet like skype even if we're on the other side of the world though I sometimes much prefer analog things like this which still takes time to receive like to mail hand written letters because it gives a lingering gentle feeling to the bottom of my heart.

そしてスイーツの中でもうれしかったのはこれ！地元のスーパーで売られていたショートブレッド。

バターたっぷりの分厚くて濃厚なクッキーなんですがドライストロベリーが入っていてすんごくおいしいのです！しかもリーズナブル。家にいつも常備していたっけ。

What I was glad for most was this! Border's short bread that I bought in local supermarket so often. This is thick rich cookie with dried strawberry and super tasty!(yet reasonable!) I used to have some stock always at home. :)

老舗デパートなんかのショートブレッドより断然うまかったです。もし見つけたら食べてみてください！

It definitely tastes much better than classy shortbreads that I found in venerable department store. Please try if you have any chance. Highly recommended!

学生のときは、デッサン好きじゃなかったけど

最近は物をみて描くのが好きです。

描くことは、ただ物をみて写し取るためのものじゃなくて

思いを人に伝えるための言葉なんだと気がついてから。

こんな素敵なものがあったんだよ、って。

わたしにはこんな風にみえたんだよ、って。

お習字みたいにひと筆で描く、まっすぐな線が好きです。
お花とか鳥とか、描きたいもの、いっぱい！

I didn't really like sketching still-life when I was at school though
I like to draw in a true-to-life way recently
since I knew drawing is not just to copy things on the paper but
it's the way to tell someone your feeling
when you found such a beautiful thing and how did it look for you.
I absolutely like to draw it with one stroke like Japanese calligraphy. :)
Flowers, birds... I still have lots of things I want to draw!

乙女パーティ、夢のような一日。あっという間に終わってしまいました。

みんな可愛くて、きらきらしていました。

めろう＊さん、魔女さん、本当にお疲れさまでした！

ファッションショー可愛かったなあーーー。

ここに描ききれない素敵な人たちがいっぱい参加していました。

会場となった四町パティオには目に見えないけど

大切なものがいっぱいあふれていました。

なんてあったかい素敵な街。やっぱり好きだよ！

そしてわたしは乙女たちの可愛さにeriさんとすっかりほのぼのしてしまいました。

わたしたちユニットもちゃんと乙女できてたかな？

アクセサリーやスイーツなど、いろんなお店が出ていたのですが

その中でもわたしのハートをわしづかみにしたのはこれ！

カフェSugar Witchさんのスイーツです。

クッキーにアイシングでそれはそれはかわいくデコレートされているのでした。

可愛すぎて食べるのもったいない。。

さらにこんなカップケーキもありました！

ほんとお菓子のおとぎ話みたいです。ケーキやクッキーは発酵バターがたっぷりで

可愛いだけでなく、食べてももちろんおいしいそうですよ。

こちらのSugar Witchさん、カフェの方でのメニューも

センスがピカイチなのです！まだお邪魔したことはないのですが

今度の絶対行ってみようと心に誓ったのでした。

本当に素敵な時間をありがとうございました！

とっても楽しかったです。また次回、楽しみにしています。

ガラスのくつをはいたケーキ屋さん、カボチャは美味しく食べられたかな？

Curry lunch

仕事仲間のeriさんとお昼にカレーを食べにいきました。
ふたりとも、六ろくさんのタイカレーが大好き。
しかし！あいにくこの日は閉まっておりました、、ガッカリ。。
どうしてもカレーが食べたいふたりは、もう一軒近くにあるパキスタン＆インドカレー屋さんにいきました。
ここではナンが食べられるのです。もちろんナンをチョイス！
キーマカレーか、ほうれん草のカレーか迷った末に、ほうれん草のカレーにしました。
ところでパキスタン料理とインド料理ってどうちがうんだろう？
韓国料理や中国料理と日本料理も全然違うと思うけど
遠い外国の人から見たらどう違うの？てかんじなのかな。
そうやっていろいろ考えるの頭のなかで旅してるみたいで楽しいです。

Today I went to Thai curry shop Roku-roku for lunch with my work mate Eri.
We both LOVES their Thai curry :) But! unfortunately the shop was closed. We're so disappointed but we really want to have curry so went to Tally Spice which is another curry shop near by. It's a Pakistani & Indian curry shop and you can have naan there. Of course we chose naan! :) After wavering for a while I ordered Spinach curry. BTW what's the difference between Pakistani food and Indian food?
I think Korean food, Chinese food and Japanese food are completely different though for foreigners is it difficult to tell apart as I feel like this? To think about things like this is fun as if my mind is traveling over foreign countries.

お待ちかねのカレー登場っ。うおーみどりだ。

辛さも４つから選べて、eriさんは甘口、わたしは辛口にしました。

ほうれん草がペースト状になってカレールーになっているで、ものすごミドリ！です。
こころなしか味もまろやか〜。
なにやらいろんな触感の野菜もコロコロはいっていました。でもミドリなので正体わからず。

This is the curry. So very green! I chose heat level 2, and Eri chose 0. The taste seemed bit milder than usual one as the curry paste was made of spinach. Some other vegetables were cooked together but I couldn't make it out because it's too green.

半透明の白いスープもついていました。こちらはスパイシーな香りのぷんぷんする不思議な味でした。
何のスープかは謎でしたが、おいしかったのでよいです！

タイカレーのかわりにおいしいインドカレーでおなかいっぱい。
そういえば行ったことないカレー屋さんがほかにもあるので、いろいろ食べくらべてみたいです。

The lunch set had a translucence white soup which smells cinnamon and cardamon. Very mysterious soup but it was tasty so it's okay!

I think there are some more curry shops I've never tried here. I really want to try all of them! (Yes, I'm greedy~)

家の近所の田んぼのあぜ道にヒガンバナがたくさん咲いています。
この花を見ると、ああ、秋が来たんだなあ、と思うのです。
白いヒガンバナも、白いキツネみたいで神秘的。

Lots of spider lilies are blooming on the paths and paths between rice fields around my house.
I really makes me notice autumn has come.
I like white one too, it's mysterious like white fox.

稲刈りのあとのにおいや、キンモクセイの香り。
風も季節の移り変わりを教えてくれます。
季節のにおいが好きです。

The smell of straws after harvesting, sweet scents of fragrance olive...
The breeze lets me know the changing of the seasons as well.
I love to feel seasons like this way.

FIELD MUSEUM SANUKI 2011

フィールドミュージアムサヌキが今年も11月12日（土）、13日（日）に開催されます。
フライヤーのイラストを描かせていただきました。
場所は香川県の東、引田の讃洲井筒屋敷。引田は古い蔵などの街並がそのまま残っていて、心和む美しいところです。
３０組ちかくのたくさんの作家さんが参加されます。今年は例年のクラフト作家さんに加えてアートの作家さんもいらっしゃいます。
お誘い合わせの上、ぜひお越し下さい。ワークショップや飲食コーナーもありますよ〜。

今回、不思議なご縁でこのお話をいただきました。
このFieldmuseum も今年で4回目。わたしも見に行ったことがあり、憧れの作家さんや
本当に素敵な作品がいっぱいで、素敵なことをしているなあーーーでもクラフト展だし、イラストのわたしはきっと関わることのない世界なんだろうなあ、と思っていました。
今回このようなカタチでご一緒させていただけて、本当にうれしいです！
当日もとても楽しみです。お声がけくださった実行委員会のみなさま、ありがとうございます。ご縁に感謝しています。

FIELD MUSEUM SANUKI is coming this year again on 12th and 13th, November.
I did the illustration of this year's flyer. :) It's an arts & Japanese craft exhibition which is taken place at Sanshu-izutsuyashiki, a very beautiful Japanese old house. It's located in Hiketa, East part of Kagawa prefecture where is also very beautiful place which have remains of old houses and warehouses as those were. The old houses are used as galleries to exhibit. About 30 artists will join this exhibition, some modern artists will join too this year. There are some workshops and if you get hungry please don't worry, they have cafes too. :)

This year is the 4th time the exhibition has been taken place.
I of course knew about this and actually I went to see before. The artworks were always great and many artists I respect participated. I am so happy to get into this wonderful event as an artist like this. I really appreciate for the opportunity. Thank you, thank you so much!

It's been long time since I did last time so

I'm looking forward to it too!

Personally, my recommend is paper one. It's easy for beginners and

also be able to make fine lines like etching.

I prepare tea and small sweets as well.

jaaja at Rokuroku

jaajaとゆーバンドのライブにいきました。
場所はタイカレーのおいしい「六ろく」さんてお店。よく音楽イベントをしています。
六ろくさんの不思議なところはカレー屋なのにカレーのにおいがしないところ。
とりあえず激うまです。ベトナムコーヒーもおいしいよ。
あまりおなかがすいていなかったのでカレーは食べずにマンゴーのジュースを飲みました。

jaajaは名古屋のバンドで、今回キキさんに呼ばれてきたそうです。
不思議な動物のお面をかぶって出て来るのがかわいいです。
音楽のことはよくわかりませんがジプシーみたいなオリジナルの音楽を演奏していました。
なんだか沖縄の音楽みたいだなと思いました。ソウルフラワーユニオンをかわいくしたみたいな。

わたしはちょっと疲れていて歌詞も頭に入らなかったんですが
その夜はもう一人男の子も歌っていて、みんな本当に歌が好きで好きでたまらないといったかんじで
胸がきゅうとなりました。
素敵な夜でした。またまた見にこようっと。今度はカレーも食べなくちゃ。

Today I went to jaaja's live show at Roku-roku.
Roku-roku is a nice Thai curry restaurant which has live shows so often. It's curious but it doesn't smell curry in Roku-roku. I like it though! The taste is great and you can choose the level of spiciness so why don't you try when you came to Takamatsu! Also their Vietnam coffee is good to have after meal.
I was not so hungry then so I had mango juice for the night.

Jaaja is from Nagoya and Kiki invited them this time. They perform wearing animal masks made by themselves. It's very interesting and brings us to their world very easily. I don't know much about music but their songs sounds like gypsy music and I liked it. I thought their music is bit like Okinawan band's too.
I was too tired to pick and digest their poetic words in my brain though so impressed by the way they play. The musicians on the night including a boy who sang before jaaja looked they were the music itself. They are so in love with music. It squeezed my heart. Anyway it was such a enjoyable night. I'll come back again soon, maybe for curry next time. :)

Tokiwa daigaku

トキワ大学とゆープロジェクトが、街の中ではじまりました。
いろいろな世界でご活躍されている方々を講師にお招きし、講演やワークショップをしていただくというもの。
第一回の今回は香川県出身の建築家、斉藤正さんの講演でした。斉藤さんは東日本大震災の被災地にお風呂を送るZENKON湯というプロジェクトをしていらっしゃいます。

スライド交えながらのお話。
現地の様子、最初は冷ややかだった現地の方々もお風呂が出来て、涙を流して喜んでくださったときのこと。
自分たちがただお風呂を送りたくて、被災地の方々が受け入れてくれてくれたからこそできたんだということ。
人が住まい、暮らしを守るはずの建築が、地震によって凶器となり、建築をやめるべきなのかと考えたこと。
なかでも印象的だったのは、仲間がいるからできたというお話でした。
斉藤さんがお風呂を送ろうと思って友達に相談したとき、みんな「よし、やろう！」と賛同されたそうです。
偶然にも主に現地に行ったりする主要メンバーが１１人だったとのことで、アニメに重ね合わせて、被災地へ向かう道中に主題歌を聞いたりされていたとのこと。
ただお風呂を送るというお話ではなく、それを通り越したところにある斉藤さんのお人柄や熱い思いが伝わってくる時間でした。
忘れていたとても大事な物を教えていただいた気がします。ありがとうございました。
是非また第二弾してもらいたいです！

The new project 'Tokiwa Daigaku' just started in the middle of the town.
This is a project to have lectures or workshops by active people who are famous or popular in a variety of fields like real university. The first 'class' was a lecture of an architect, Tadashi Saito. He's a leader of the project 'ZENKON-Yu' which is to send ready-to-assenble Japanese bath to the desaster area in Tohoku.

He's doing this as volunteer from raising money from public to bring the bath to build it. He talked how was the places. When they visited there first the people there was not very friendly and there was a chill in the air. But when they saw the finished bath they gave him big, big thanks in tears.
He couldn't stop himself to do something for Tohoku so he just did it and this project succeeded thanks to the people who accepted him there he said.
He also said he thought if he should quit architecture because the buildings which should be 'home' and should protect people's 'life' became murder weapon because of the earth quake.
What I was touched most was his words 'I wouldn't make it without friends'. When he talked about this plan to his friends, all of them agreed and said 'Yes, let's do that!'. By chance there were 11 main staffs in the team and it was the same situation as a popular anime 'Thunder 11' so they were listening to the theme song on the way to Tohoku putting the 'brave mates' story on their minds. (Actually I think they are real Thunder 11!)
It was a really fruitful time not only to know their wonderful activity but also Mr. Saito's warm personality and his great passion beyond just the 'volunteer work'.
Thank you so much Saito-san! I was so touched and inspired a lot. I'm already looking forward to his second class! :)

友達のめろう＊さんと魔女さんが素敵なイベントを企画！
お声かけいただいて、デザイナーのeriさんと参加します。
その名も、、「四町乙女パーティ〜乙女復活宣言！〜」

乙女たちの乙女たちによる乙女たちためのパーティ。
女の子が好きな物がいっぱいです。アクセサリー、お洋服、絵、布小物、こまごま可愛いものたち。
わたしは委託で、紙小物や布小物などを出展させてもらいます。

My friend Melow* & Lady witch are planning a kawaii girls' party on 16th Oct.
This is a small market of artists and craft makers for girls. Lots of shops will spread their treasury in the small square in the middle of the town. Accessories, pretty clothes, paintings, illustrations, cute crafts... many many adorable things you will see there! I also join this lovely event with my designer friend 'eri' as consignment shop. Our shop is 'yuuco & eri' so that you can find it very easily! :)

Many many girls will be there on the day and it will be a brilliant day ever.
They also have cute sweets & drinks so you don't need to worry about treat. ;) The main feature is Lady witch's catwalk show.
Ah, just the thought of it makes me so excited~!

New design

前にも書きましたが、コットンバッグのデザインをシリーズで製作中です。
このデザインのテーマは　'画家にかかせないもの！' あれやこれやと考えたり、それを絵におこすのがとても楽しいです。＾＾
今日は下書きをして銅板に転写しました。時間かかった〜。
なかなか集中できなくていつもの3倍くらい時間かかってしまいました。なんとか仕上げられてよかった！
次はもうコットンバッグにプレス出来ると思います。色ものせられるかな。
また仕上がったらアップします。自分でも出来上がりをはやく見たいです！

As I wrote before, I'm working on series of design of cotton bags.
This illustration is 'essential things for painter'. It was fun to think and make it into illustration. :)
Today I underlined the new design on copper plate which took a long time for me.
It was so hard to concentrate to draw for me these days for some reason and it took triple or more than the time as usual. But I concentrated and finished somehow in the end. I'll be able to press and print it on the bags next time I think.
I'm going to paint some colours on it too. I'll show you once I finished it. I can't wait to see it too!

ふらりと立ち寄った雑貨屋さんで金色の馬のブローチをみつけました。

ひとめぼれして買っちゃった。

どんなに遠いところでもこの子の翼で連れて行ってくれそうな気がして。

Today I stumbled a beautiful brooch of golden horse which has wings on his back.
I fell in love with him at first sight and it didn't take even a second to decide to buy it.
I felt like he would bring me anywhere I want with his wings no matter how great　the distance is.

アトリエでお花がたくさん咲きました。

カラフルでかわいいでしょ？＾＾* コットンのバッグに葉っぱや線の部分をプレスして、

あとでふーわりと花びらを描きました。

ひとつひとつ、手描きです。だから、それぞれ世界に一つしかないオリジナル。

もうすぐお嫁に行く子もいます。お嫁に行った先で、使ってくださる方の

笑顔のお花をさかせてくれるといいな。

シリーズで、いろんな子たちが生まれる予定です。あーはやく想いをカタチにしたい！

そわそわ。でも、あせらず、ゆっくり、楽しみながら。

Lots of flowers are blooming in my studio. :)

Cute in colourful colours, isn't it? First I pressed the line part of leaves on the cotton bags then painted petals one by one by hand. So every piece has different expression and one & only.

Some of them are leaving my place soon. I‘m happy if my works could make people feel relax and happiness if only a little in these busy days.

I already have other ideas of this series on my mind and can't wait to create them into shapes!

But trying not to rush, stay relax, just enjoy it in my own pace~. :)

見て見て！このもものケーキを！

でかいんです！（ちょっとオーバー？いや、これくらいの感動があるんです！）

そしてももがざっくざく！素敵すぎる〜〜

これは街でも人気のカフェ「３びきの子ぶた」のケーキです。

たくさん種類のあるホットサンドが人気で有名ですが、スイーツもいろいろあります。もともと果物屋さんなので果物が新鮮！その場でミキサーにかけて作ってくれるフレッシュフルーツのジュースもおいしいのです。

It's such big! (over dramatic? no, no, it's truly dramatic!) Peaches on the cake were like mountain! How nice~ :) This is from a cafe, 'Sanbiki no kobuta' (3 little pigs) which is very popular in my town.

They are famous for the many kinds of hot sandwiches and also the sweets. Basically this shop is a fruits shop so their fruits are always fresh and fruits juice is delicious too.

わたしは新鮮な果物がごろんごろん入ったケーキの大ファン。

リーズナブルなので学生さんにも人気のスポットです。

かなり、かなり大好き〜！そんなわたしは確実に4匹目の子ぶたになりつつあるのでした。。

I'm a big fan of their cakes which has looots of fruits on it. The reasonable price gets many young fans too. I really like this cafe!

And I think I'm going to be the 4th pig, maybe...?

Picturebook club

この間友達が絵本部に誘ってくれました。部長と副部長しかいない絵本部。。
わたしは新入部員です。雪が降る頃に絵本展を計画中です。
作戦会議中。どんな絵本ができるかな。楽しみです！

It's been long since last post. I'm glad to come back here. :)
My friends asked me to join their picturebook club the other day.
The members are captain and vice-captain and me! :D I'm new so don't know much about the activity yet though looking forward to do arts with them.
Actually we're planning to have picturebook exhibition around when the snow is coming.
We still have lots of ideas on the table. I can't wait to cook them nicely!

ぼんぼりみたいな、まあるいお花。急に描きたくなって描きました。これは銅版で制作したものです。春はきれいなお花がいっぱい咲いて、どれから描こうか、迷います。

I truly love flowers. In spring, lots of colourful pretty flowers like candies bloom everywhere. It's hard to decide the order to draw. :)

掃除していたら、昔の絵が出て来ました。日付が2007になってる。ほうほう、とその頃のことを思い出しながら、ちょっと感慨に耽る。絵日記みたいでよいな。日付は書いておくことにしよう。毎日描いてます、といいながら古い絵を載せます。（笑）たぶん昔のブログにも描いた時載せた気がするけれど。描いたときは、うーん、と思っていたけど、今みると結構すきな絵です。

I found a old painting while I was organizing my room. The date says it's painted in 2007. It's good to note the date, reminds me of things I had around then like a picture diary. I think I posted this picture on my previous blog then but put here this time too. I didn't really like it when I painted but now. :)

Spring has come

春ですね。春ですよ。過ごしやすい季節になりましたがいかがお過ごしですか。
すっかりご無沙汰しておりました。いろいろばたばた忙しく。。なんとか元気にやっています。旅行記も製作中ですが、ちょこちょこ日記も投稿したく、別のページに続けてゆくことにしました。こちらには今までどおり、日記を綴ってゆきますのでどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。＾＾
毎日絵を描いています。小さい頃にお絵描きが楽しくてしょうがなかったのに似てる。素直に楽しい。これからも載せていきますので遊びに来てくださいね。

It's spring. Spring has come. Long time no see again! How have you been? I had been very busy and didn't even log in my blog for a while. I'm very fine and enjoying everyday though! (maybe you knew about recent me through my tweet? :)) I still keep writing about my trip but it's going to be a bit long so I decided to continue it separately on another blog. I'm creating it now and will mention it when it's finished. And I think I should start my diary here as before.
I'm drawing and painting everyday lately. It's fun. My feeling is just like the one I had long time ago when I just learned how to hold a pen. I'm going to keep uploading my illustrations here, please come and see my works, also I'm always happy with your leaving comments. :)

Boarding to London-Trip to the UK

Let's go to London! I chose SAS this time which I had to transit in Copenhagen. I have a friend in Denmark and I have been really interested in Scandinavia so I wanted to see one of these countries in this chance. I had about 3 hours to transit, unfortunately it was to short to see my friend but I explored in the airport a lot. Copenhagen airport was really nice atmosphere, the floor was made of wood, and something like bench and cart are designed by famous designer. I loved the warm atmosphere very much. Also as it was just before Christmas, I could see lots of beautiful decorations for Christmas especially owls which is a symbol of happiness in Europe. :>

On the plane, light meal service. I had beer. The snack was cheese cracker. I'm already excited like a kid on the first field trip. :)

となりの席に座ってた女の子。もうすぐ結婚するので、その前に北欧を一人旅するのだという。素敵だな。たくさん話して、きれいな空に二人で大興奮したり。空港で一緒にお茶もして楽しかったな。素敵な時間をありがとう！

A girl who was similar age of me sitting next to me. She was also traveling by herself before her marriage. We talked a lot about ourselves and sometimes got excited together by the beautiful sky. We also have tea in Copenhagen airport. This kind of thing is very fun during travel. Thank you so much for the nice time!

窓からの風景は本当に感動的でした。日本海からユーラシア大陸へ、そしてスカンジナビア大陸、、どの地域も独特の地形で、地図や写真でしか見た事のなかった地形を自分の目で実際見てどきどきしました。雪山、険しい山々、平原、大きな湖、海峡、どこまでも続く川、フィヨルド、空、地平線、、。地球の表情の美しさにため息の連続で、眠る事が出来ませんでした。

The view from the window was spectacular! Japanese sea, Eurasia continent, Scandinavia continent... each continent has unique shape of landform. Snow mountains, steep mountains, endless plain, huge lakes, channels, rivers like a net, fjord, sky, horizon... I was never tired of seeing them. The breathtaking beautifulness of the earth didn't let me sleep during the flight.

そしてお待ちかねの！ごはんタイム〜！お弁当みたいでとっても楽しいんですよね。思ったより和風で、お寿司もついてたし、デザートは抹茶のケーキでした。透明のプリンのカップみたいなのがついてて、何ぞや？と思っていたらミネラルウォーターでした。

Oh and, this is the most important event for me, meal service! I like this lunch-box style meal. :9 It was more Japanese style than I expected. They served some sushi, rice balls and I chose chicken which was cooked in soy source flavor and the dessert was green tea cake. I enjoyed it a lot!

そしてCAさんがほかほかのパンをバスケットに入れて持って来てくれました。とってもフレンドリー。いろいろ種類があったけど、クラッカーみたいなのをもらうことに。さくさくしてておいしかった〜＾＾

During the meal service, CA came to us with a basket full of warmed bread. That's very nice service I think. They had some kinds and I chose thin one like a cracker. It was good with butter. :)

地球ってなんて美しいんだろう。

How beautiful our earth is.

景色はまったく見飽きる事がなく、地図を片手に窓に張り付いて見ていました。特にシベリアや北欧独特の、日本にはない地形がとてもおもしろかった！

I was seeing the view with a map. Especially the landform of cold countries that Japan never has were interesting for me.

そうこうしているうちに夜食の時間。サンドイッチと飲み物でした。サンドイッチはハムとチーズから選べて、ハムを選択。なんとトナカイのハムでした！ちょっとクセがあったけど美味しかったです。ああ、もう最初っからすべてにわくわく。笑

こんな風にして、わたしの旅は始まりました。

The time passed quickly while I was enjoying seeing the view, supper time came. We had choices of cheese and ham and I chose ham. And it was reindeer ham! We don't have reindeer meat in Japan, it was very unusual for me. It tastes a bit strong but I enjoyed it anyway (so it's okay!). I was so excited about everything. My first long journey has begun like this way. :)

Trip to the UK

Hi friends, long time no see. First, I'm sorry I didn't post for a long time. Now I'm writing this in the UK. Yes, my dream came true at last!! By a series of happy accidents I could visit UK! :D To visit and live in foreign country had been my dream since I was very little. I'm so happy and really enjoying staying here. Everything is so attractive to me even local supermarket. I'm staying in a small town in south west London where we can see the Thames and London city from the hill. Also there is a huge national park here and I could see squirrels, deers and foxes. I love this calm and beautiful town full of nature. :)

What I was surprised most about London was the greatness. Especially a diversity of races which I've never experienced in Japan. London is a melting pot of culture. Many kinds of languages not only English come into my ears. Sometimes I even forget I was Japanese. But at the same time, I do notice and reconfirm myself that I am Japanese. It sounds contradict though I had this curious feeling seems like pride that I've never had.

Actually I'm staying here for about 3 months. It seems long, but it's too short for me I'm sure. If this is a dream, I don't want to wake up. I draw and write about what I saw, what I felt during my staying here. My thought may be one-sided or the posts would be just a scrap of my memories though I hope you'll enjoy this very special trip with me. Thank you! :)

When you go to sleep

寝るときって、何を着て寝てますか？わたしは着古したTシャツなども気持ちよくて好きで、良く着て寝ます。そのせいか、パジャマの上下が違ってもあまり気にならない。結構お気に入りの組み合わせもあったりして。でもこの季節、片方だけ夏物だったりすると寒くてかなわん！とゆーわけで結局着直したりします。。心地よく眠るためには見た目は気にしてられません。。え？もともとしてないって？笑

What are you wearing when you go to bed? Yes, we wear pyjamas, usually. I also like to wear something like old t-shirt because it fits my body and very comfy. Maybe because of that I don't really mind if the top and bottom are not same ones. I even have my favourite combination. ;) But in this season because it's getting cold it may cause a problem if I chose different ones like summer short pants and winter top. I sometimes have to change it later. So please be careful when you choose them even if it looks still nice for you to get comfortable bed time...

My palace

自分のアトリエを持つことが夢でした。ついにその夢が叶いました！すごく便利な場所にとても素敵な場所を見つけたのです。しかも大家さんが、アトリエに使うのなら、とのことで、家賃は格安。感謝感謝です。紹介してくださった先輩にも大感謝。お掃除をしたりするたびに自分の場所になっていっている気がして、すごくうれしい。まだまだやることがありますが、はやくこの場所で、たくさん作品を生み出したいです。＾＾＊

To have my own studio had been my dream. My dream is coming true. I found nice place and I could rent it at last! It was very old apartment though location is very good and wide enough to create works. I wanted to have another place as my studio (because I can't resist attractions of blanket if it's with me!). Cleaning and some renovation were needed but almost finished finally. Also the landload is very understanding, he offered me reasonable house rent because I'm an artist. How nice! I'm so happy and can't wait to bring furnitures and art tools to my palace. :) I really appreciate everyone who helped me! Thank you so much!

手はとてもその人を表していると思います。

I like to draw hands. I also like to watch it. When they touch something, put something, any little motion tells us how they are like.

Fragrance wreathe

きんもくせいの花でかんむりを作ったら、きっといいにおいがするだろうな。
そんなことを考えながら描きました。

It would be wonderful if I could wreathe with fragrance olive. I imagined it whilst I was drawing that my hair catches the sweet smell and I was sure I won't want to shampoo on the day. :)

Scents of autumn

今日は一日ずっと雨でした。朝外に出ると、ふわっとあまい香り。

キンモクセイです。この香りがすると、もうほんとに秋がきたんだ、と思うのです。

It was raining all day today. When I opened the door in the morning the air was filled with sweet scents of fragrance olive. Rain makes it even stronger. It really makes me notice autumn's arrival.
